Removals in Canary Wharf and the Isle of Dogs
A removal company that already knows how E14 buildings work – and plans your move around them.
Vango Removals has been moving households and businesses across west and east London since we started, and Canary Wharf is one of the areas we are asked for most. The postcode is unlike anywhere else in the capital: thousands of homes stacked into towers at South Quay, Heron Quays, Pan Peninsula and Wood Wharf, with managed access, timed loading bays and lifts that have to be booked in advance.
That is where most moves go wrong. A crew turns up without a bay slot, the concierge turns them away, and a four-hour job becomes a full day on an hourly rate. We plan it the other way round – we contact your building manager first, confirm the lift and bay window in writing, then build the day around that slot.
Our crews are directly employed, uniformed and DBS-checked, and every van carries blankets, wardrobe boxes, floor runners, lift padding and tool kits as standard. Furniture is dismantled and rebuilt at the other end, mattresses and sofas are wrapped before they leave the flat, and nothing is dragged across a communal floor you will be charged for.
We cover the whole of E14 and the surrounding docklands, from studio flats and student moves through to full office floors relocating out of hours. Whether you are moving into Canary Wharf from elsewhere in London, moving out to the suburbs, or just switching buildings on the peninsula, you get the same fixed price and the same crew from door to door.

Canary Wharf removals: common questions
Do you book the service lift and loading bay for me?
Yes. Once your date is confirmed we contact your building manager or concierge to reserve the service lift and a loading bay window, and we send you the confirmation. Most Canary Wharf towers want at least 48 hours’ notice, so the earlier you book, the wider the choice of slots.
How much does a flat move in Canary Wharf cost?
A one-bedroom flat within E14 typically starts from FROM_PRICE, and the final figure depends on the floor, lift access, volume and whether you want packing included. You get one fixed price in writing before the day – we do not charge by the hour, so a slow lift never costs you extra.
Can you move an office outside working hours?
Most of our commercial moves in Canary Wharf run overnight, on a Friday evening or across a weekend so staff come back to a working floor. We label by desk and floor plan, move IT and comms last, and can work alongside your building’s out-of-hours access rules.
Is my furniture insured while you move it?
Every move includes goods in transit cover and public liability insurance, and we can issue the certificate for your building manager, who will usually ask for it before granting lift access. Higher-value items can be listed separately on request.
Do you dismantle and reassemble furniture?
Yes, and it is included rather than charged as an extra. Beds, wardrobes, desks and flat-pack units are taken apart, the fixings are bagged and labelled, and everything is rebuilt in the room you want it in before we leave.
How far in advance should I book?
Two to three weeks is comfortable for a weekday move, and longer if you need a Saturday in summer. That said, we keep capacity for short-notice jobs – if your completion has moved, call us and we will tell you straight away what we can do.
